1991 Citroën 2CV6 Spécial https://www.europeancollectibles.com/... This 1991 Citroën 2CV6 Spécial, finished in Jaune Rialto (pastel yellow) over multi-colored fabric seats, driven only 10,788 kilometers (6703 miles) is one of the last of these post-war era classics built. Cute, quirky, and extremely practical, the Citroën 2C was designed to appeal to the French farming community who at the time still relied on horse and cart. It was inexpensive to operate and simple to maintain. The Citroën 2C debuted in 1948 and remained in production in France for 40 years, finally stopping manufacturing altogether in Portugal in 1990. Sales ceased in 1991. This numbers-matching example was privately owned until 2015, when the famed Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California, acquired the vehicle for its collection of notable French vehicles. Affectionately called "an umbrella on wheels”, its fixed-profile body features a full-width fabric roll-back roof that not only opens to sunshine and fresh air but also accommodates bulky passengers and packages. The original, preserved from factory, light yellow exterior is complemented by 15” Michelin radial tires mounted on three-lug color-matched steel wheels, a retractable fabric roof, fold-out side windows, driver-side mirror, bug-eye headlights and amber turn lights, and a front grill featuring the iconic double arrowhead badge. Its utilitarian interior features multi-colored fabric seats, three-point front safety belts and rear lap belts, black rubber flooring, and a four-speed shifter extending from the dash. The shift pattern is prominently displayed below its 120 KM speedometer/odometer. An air-cooled, two-cylinder 602cc engine, fed by a single Solex carburetor, produces up to 27 HP at 5750 RPM. Power is directed to the front wheels through its four-speed manual transmission. Four-wheel disc brakes provide stopping power.
