The humerus has two tubercles, the greater and lesser tubercles. The greater tuberosity is located lateral to the head at the proximal end of the humerus. It is the insertion point for the supraspinatus superiorly, infraspinatus intermediately, and the teres minor inferiorly. The lesser tuberosity is located inferior to the head, on the anterior part of the humerus. It is the insertion point for the subscapularis. The bicipital (intertubercular) groove is located between the two tuberosities. It is the insertion point for the latissimus dorsi and contains the long head of the biceps brachii. #Humerus
