This is my 2nd video on the Topic of Out of Sequence activities, in my first video I tried to explain OoS activities i.e. Out of Sequence Activities are those that are not progressing as per Original Logic of Baseline Program. All programs, no matter prepared with full care and by experienced schedulers will not progress as per original logic, which originate Out of Sequence activities i.e. OoS activities always produced in the updated program. In this video, we will see how to determine OoS activities in the updated program. It can be determine by following two ways; 1) using Schedule Log 2) using Filters The easiest way is to check the "Schedule Log". In the Schedule dialog box, make sure to check "Log to file" check box. Note:- Before checking the Log file, make sure to "RUN" the program In the Log file of the updated program, check Error and Warning section to check out the OoS activities In the second method, we use the Filter command to list all the OoS activities, using the following two filers 1st Filter a) Remaining Early Date is not equal to Data Date b) Activity Status is equal to "In Progress" 2nd Filter a) Early Start Date is not equal to Data Date b) Activity Status is equal to "Completed" Sometime the filter does not produce desired results, in this case we need to check several factors effecting the Remaining Early and/or Early Start date is not equal to Data Date and activity status for example Data Date & time. Sometimes the data date time does not match with the activity start time, we need to coincide these two times to eliminate the number of activities. We need to check other factors depending on the particular conditions of the Program of Works that are affecting activity remaining early start (for in progress activities) and early start (for completed activities).
