This video is a half hour long. I apologize for the dead space in the center of the video. So just as a heads up after she retreats to the back after the seven minute mark there are about ten minutes of video filming just strait at that door till the LPD arrive. fair warning. I did not navigate this as well as I would have liked but I still feel I may have been successful in some advancement. I will be the first to admit when I make a mistake. And in this video I did make a couple of mistakes. One being that I kept calling the county attorney the county mayor. That slip of the tongue comes from a side joke I been known to say about the county mayor Steve jones being so dependent on holliman that holliman might as well be the county mayor. So ya MY BAD. will work on fixing that. I made the claim that the Lafayette Police department would send me to the public records office if I tried to do a records request and immediately had to back track because I did not know that for sure but I was sure of the other offices. As I am not sure of Sgt Crawfords position on the matter I cannot guess how he may have felt about my presence there but he did protect my rights when I explained how I have been put in this position. This is not the first encounter I have had with this Sgt and being honest the first time I encountered him he was more then fair. And I say that to be fair. When he walked through the door and I requested name and badge number I felt that a bit unprofessional but his choice to make. Same with me hoping they would ask me if I still wanted that CAD number but they let me down. Officer Hansen asking me to deescalate and calling me by my first name did not go unnoticed. I have noticed in reveiwing my videos that my tone can seem a bit pleading sounding I have to work on that. Its not that I am pleading it is just I am not used to having to repeat myself. Especially having to go to this extent with people who should know more about the subject then me. I try to not sound defensive but at the same time not come off overbearing. So I will work on that. I think yall have seen it and is pretty obvious when that changes. After I left there I went to the LPD and got the CAD number from a very pleasant and professional woman there who then directed me to the city hall next door was I was able to file the request for the LPD bwc. So hopefully in the future we will have an update on that. Thank you all for your interest. Also, I cannot let this go unsaid, HUGE THANK YOU TO THOSE THAT HAVE SHOWN SUPPORT.
