It's about the indelible mark he, and his company, Makaha, had on skateboarding in its early days. As you can see, there are some heavy hitters from the world of surfing and skating who make a contribution. Thanks for watching. Makaha Skateboards was founded in 1963 by Skateboard Hall of Fame member Larry Stevenson. Larry, under the Makaha brand, invented the kicktail and sold the first professional quality skateboards. Makaha was the first to put together a exhibition team. Members of the original team included Skateboard Hall of Fame member, Bruce Logan, Woody Woodward, Danny Bearer, Scott Archer, Gregg Carroll, John Fries, Joey Saenz, George Trafton jr, and Squeek Blank.
