It will save you some money, since the bearing itself costs much cheaper than the pulley, say nothing about the fact that the pulley may be unavailable in your local store and you will have to wait for its delivery. The tools needed for Jaguar X-type idler pulley bearing replacement are: a 3/8" inch ratchet or a 10 mm L-shaped wrench to release the tensioner, a 15 mm socket to unscrew the idler pulley, 6203 bearing to replace the OEM one. Besides, you will need a vise to press the bearing into the pulley, since it is highly recommended to press it in and not hammer it as I did.
