Day of My Brazilian Butt Lift: What to Expect During BBL Surgery

Dr. Dunkley with Envision Cosmetic Surgery walks you through the exact process you'll experience on the day of your BBL or Brazilian Butt Lift surgery. For your safety, be sure not to eat or drink for at least 6 hours before your surgery is scheduled. When it's time, you'll take your prescriptions with you to the Envision Cosmetic Surgery office which has its own, private operating suite. Once you have checked in, you'll go to the preoperative room where the doctor will review the surgical plan with you. Then it's onto the operating suite where the anesthesiologist will start and IV and get you put to sleep. Once the surgery has concluded, you'll be taken to the recovery room until the anesthesia wears off completely. Some patients experience a little pain, but compression garments will help to cover all the areas that underwent liposuction. After the anesthesia has worn off, you can be taken home by someone you've arranged to drive you and keep an eye on you for the first 24 hours. The doctors will check you the day after surgery for your first post-op appointment to be sure everything is healing correctly. . It's Dr Dunkley from Envision Cosmetic Surgery. here's what you can expect the day of your BBL or Brazilian Butt Lift surgery. You'll come to our office we have an in-office operating suite which makes your experience more private and helps us control the cost. Avoid eating or drinking for at least 6 hours prior to your surgery and bring your prescriptions in case one is needed before you leave. After checking in, you'll be brought to the pre-operative room where you and I will review our plan and you'll meet my surgical team. From there you go into the operating room where my anesthesia provider will start an IV and then safely get you to sleep. When the surgery is done most patients awake with little pain. Compression garments will be on over any place where liposuction was done and on the bottom. You'll be moved to the recovery room where you'll rest until you're awake enough to go home. You'll need someone to take you home and be with you for the first 24 hours. All patients should plan on being seen the following day for their first post-op appointment.
