UPDATED: With Update 1.23, DayZ changed the way that cfgplayerspawns.xml controls player spawns. The technique in the above video may still work, but will need testing. In this beginners guide tutorial video I show you had to "reverse" the coordinates, locations & starting-points for fresh spawns / new players on your DayZ Community Server for PC, PlayStation & Xbox Consoles. I also include instructions so that your fresh spawns will appear in the towns and villages, or at random locations across the map. Please note that I haven't tested all of these spawn locations, so they may spawn you somewhere unsuitable, suck as in the gas or in an unsuitable location. My Github includes ready-made 1.20 Update Compatible cfgplayspawnpoints.xml files that you just need to rename and upload to your Servers Chernarus Mission folder, and also the readme contains all the xml coordinate snippets so you can add your chosen locations in an existing file, so you can ensure compatibility going forward.
