2025/12/24（平安夜） 在屏東，萬金的聖誕活動一直是很有名的年底盛事：一方面是萬金村沿路非常熱鬧的市集／夜市氛圍，另一方面則是教堂園區在聖誕期間的燈飾、聖誕樹、鐘聲與聖歌，讓整個村子在夜晚變得很不一樣。 關於「萬金」與「萬金聖母聖殿」的小背景 萬金聖母聖殿（俗稱萬金天主堂）是台灣天主教重要地標之一。萬金堂區的歷史可追溯到 19 世紀中期（1860 年代初），現今主要的教堂建築在 1870 年啟用，外觀也常被形容帶有西班牙式要塞風格。 教堂正面還留有清代官方相關的石刻（如「奉旨」「天主堂」），反映了當時宗教在地方社會中的特殊位置與歷史脈絡。 後來教堂也曾在 20 世紀進行修繕與重建（例如 1960 年代的大幅修復），才形成我們今天看到的樣貌。 萬金聖誕季與活動氛圍 萬金的年底活動常被整合成「萬金聖誕季」。其中一個很具代表性的宗教活動是聖母遊行/出巡（遶境），多在 12 月第二個週日的主保堂慶前後舉行，近年也常結合聖誕慶典與地方活動一起擴大辦理。 而平安夜當晚，許多人會聚集在教堂園區或周邊廣場，參與唱詩歌、聆聽儀式段落、感受節日氣氛（同時外圍也會有非常熱鬧的市集）。 English Description This video is a Christmas Eve night walk at Wanjin Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (also known as Wanjin Catholic Church) in Wanluan Township, Pingtung, Taiwan. Date: Dec 24, 2025 🎄 Wanjin is widely known in southern Taiwan for its festive Christmas season: a lively night market / local stalls around the village, and the more solemn atmosphere inside the church area—Christmas lights, a big tree, bell ringing, and hymns. A bit of background: Wanjin & the Basilica The Catholic community in Wanjin dates back to the mid-19th century, and the current main church building was completed and inaugurated in 1870. The church façade preserves historical stone inscriptions linked to the Qing era, reflecting the site’s unique local history. The building has also undergone major renovations in the 20th century (including significant restoration works around the 1960s), shaping the appearance we see today. Wanjin Christmas Season A well-known highlight is the Marian procession, usually held around the parish feast day in mid-December, and in recent years it has often been expanded into a broader “Wanjin Christmas Season” combining religious events with local festivities.
