Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort is currently in the midst of a reimagining. Fan favorites like Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen have been transformed and classic restaurants like Tortilla Joe's have permanently closed. As they say, out with the old and in with the new, and the newest restaurant at Downtown Disney is Din Tai Fung. This restaurant was founded in 1958 as a Cooking Oil Shop in Taipei, Taiwan. In 1972 half the operation began focusing on Xiao Long Bao. This Shanghai Style Dumpling helped expand the business to over 13 countries. On June 24th of 2024 their first restaurant on Disney property opened in Downtown Disney. This video details our entire experience at Din Tai Fung.
