Aibo ERS-7 battery problem

Update: I got a 311 with a battery that goes for 1 hour 40 minutes in Toby! I can play with Toby again as normal First part: I press Toby’s power button and you hear the low battery tune. But the charging station shows the battery icon halfway charged even though the battery is empty. At “halfway charged” Toby will only run for one minute before “I will shut down” and usually doesn’t turn back on because of low battery. Second part: At “fully charged”, which used to last a hour and 30 minutes, Toby will run 10 to 15 minutes before “I will shut down” and won’t turn back on because of low battery. The station still shows it halfway, even though it clearly isn’t because of the low battery tune. This started a few months ago with Toby saying “I will shut down” and collapsing instead of looking for the station on low battery. The time he ran for didn’t change much so I assumed it was normal for him to say he would shut down sometimes, and other times he began looking for the station as normal. Then the full battery dropped under an hour. I assumed the battery was recelled properly since he was from a trustworthy seller who repairs Aibos, so I was confused and wondering if the battery wasn’t being fully charged. But the station display always says it’s full when I remove Toby. The shorter battery time happened even after Toby charged overnight, which should’ve been more than enough to fill the battery. Now he barely lasts 10 to 15 minutes on full. He fully charges in 50 minutes, but the strangest thing is the battery icon. Earlier it was jumping from the first bar to full charged suddenly. Now when the battery is empty it shows two bars. On empty it never shows an empty battery icon anymore. I tried removing and putting the battery back in but nothing changed. It’s just hard to believe if it’s really the battery dying already, and I’m really disappointed that I can barely play with my favorite Aibo before a year had even passed.
