I Love You [34:15] The early 80's Italo Disco had its fair share of electro and garage house hits, and the Italo group, Klein & M.B.O., is no exception. Tony Carrasco from the United States was playing around with a Roland TR-808 drum machine and was willing to make the sounds into music. It was the early 80's when he started to work with Mario Boncaldo from Italy that they would form the duo, "Klein & M.B.O.". In 1982, the duo composed their first single, "Dirty Talk", on Zanza Records. Rossana Casale and Naimy Hacket provided the vocals on their tracks. The track became an instant hit all across Italy, but it would take a few months for the duo to find out the magnitude of their first single; they found out it was blowing up all across New York City, especially at the underground clubs. As such, their singles were taken to the United States by Atlantic Records. The album "De-Ja-Vu" (named "First..." internationally) compiled all their singles into one album. Released in 1983 by Phoenix Records, it contained "Dirty Talk", "Wonderful", and "The M.B.O. Theme". The album was recorded using Roland synthesizers, Davide Piatto on guitars, and of course the RT-808 Drum Machine. Nowadays, the album and the singles by Klein & M.B.O. are considered as the post-disco underground hits that paved the way for modern electronic and house music and more Italo Disco and Hi-NRG tracks.
