『Mid Winter Trip To The Ocean』 Song by Sam Sky Music by MCX Mixed & Mastered by Roless Visuals by luvcolds Thumbnail by Annchild17 Stream the song: https://ampl.ink/nAkJZ Stream my latest EP "Zero (2)" inspired by anime anti-heros here: https://ampl.ink/xvGrj Ryuji Ayukawa, also known as "Yuka," is a central and complex character in the manga & anime, Blue Period. Blue Period is an anime that follows Yatora Yaguchi, a disaffected but academically gifted high school student who feels aimless despite his success. His life changes dramatically when he stumbles upon a painting in his school's art club room that deeply moves him. This moment sparks a newfound, all-consuming passion for art. The series chronicles Yatora's intense and often grueling journey as he commits to pursuing art professionally, from his struggles to learn the fundamentals to the immense pressure of preparing for a prestigious art school entrance exam. The narrative explores themes of self-discovery, the challenges of creative expression, and the often painful process of finding one's true calling in life. I often make references to painting, art, and the blessing/curse of being an artist in my writing. Its no surprise that when I watched Blue Period, I almost immediately felt seen and understood. Also not surprising, my favorite characters, and the ones I empathized the most, are Yatora Yaguchi, and (Yuka) Ryuji Ayukawa. When I heard Ryuji's vermillion monologue, and watched the episodes when she and Yatora ran away to the beach - I was INCREDIBLY inspired, and wrote this song, and several others shortly after. Struggle on strugglers, and remember - I believe in you, your hopes, and your dreams. Lyrics: Lay my head upon the carpet Paint the words that taste like truth I dont recognize this place The hourse feel like months But it's just a daze I'm more lost than I've ever been now I'm broke up but still down to win How is every single day somehow a tiny eternity And I'm busting out the seams from all the nothing inside of me I don't recognize this place The weight of an empty space I can't feel the bottom But I can feel the pain If I don't come back home Then I may never be the same I may never be the same I'm more lost than I've ever been I've got pocket full of sin and a bottle of gin I've got a short fuse and that puts it nicely Ever do me wrong and watch it get icey I wish I could turn back time and heal this jaded mind of mine I dont recognize this place The weight of an empty space I can't feel the bottom But I can feel the pain If I don't come back home Then I may never be the same I can't feel the bottom It's such a crying shame That I can't come back home And I will never be the same The shapes of the words in my mouth feel distant and estranged but roll off my tongue the same somehow The shapes of the words in my mouth feel distant and estranged (I can't feel the bottom) but I can feel the pain I can't feel the bottom But I can feel the pain If I don't come back home Then I may never be the same I may never be the same
