At the JRP Livelihood Skills Center in Galdogob District, SDC, in collaboration with WFP Somalia and in partnership with Puntland line ministries and local authorities, is equipping community members with essential livelihood skills to foster self-reliance and economic empowerment. Through expert-led training in tailoring, ICT, electrical work, henna and beauty, and business development, trainees gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial success. 🔹 capacity building: skilled trainers provide both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, ensuring trainees acquire market-driven expertise. 🔹 modern facilities: the center is fully equipped with tailoring machines, a computer lab, and hands-on training materials for real-world application. 🔹 pathway to independence: graduates receive certifications, internship opportunities, and start-up kits, empowering them to launch businesses or secure employment. 🔹 community impact: 30% of graduates integrate into the local workforce, while the rest engage in household income generation through entrepreneurial linkages with local businesses—enhancing food security and sustainable livelihoods.
