(14 Aug 2019) BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN TALKS ABOUT BEING A PUBLIC FIGURE MOURNING A PUBLIC FIGURE AFTER LUKE PERRY'S DEATH The debut episode of "BH90210," a reboot of sorts of "Beverly Hills, 90210" features a few moments of tribute to Luke Perry, who died earlier this year after suffering a stroke. Brian Austin Green says it was difficult to find the right balance of paying homage to Perry without exploiting him. He also said losing Perry was like losing a brother so it's different for the people who actually knew him. Green also said that it's strange to be in the public eye and mourn someone else who was famous, especially with social media. "Some people talk about it more than others, some people post about it, some people don't but to each his own. That's such an individual process ... back when we did the show there was no internet. There was no paparazzi, there was none of what exists today. There was no social media, there wasn't any of this so the world has changed, the climate has changed but that relationship started at a point when it hadn't changed so it's weird to update the mourning for the climate that exists now." The six-episode summer event series "BH90210" stars Green, Shannen Doherty, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth as exaggerated versions of themselves, coming together to make a reboot of "Beverly Hills, 90210."
