Shiva is the Auspicious One and he will liberate you if you chant with dedication. The sanskrit word "Karma" means action, either physical, verbal or mental, as well as it's consequenes and cumulative effects. The law of Karma is the natural law of causation that evolves towards balance. Any thought or deed causes an effect and can be called Karma. Karma is undeniably related to self-determination in the sense that you are responsible for your actions on all levels and therefore you are also the prime detirminant of your circumstances - you are the creator of your present situation as well as your past and future. When you accept true responsibilty for your own life you become empowered, because now you understand that you are the one who has to take action if you want your life to transform and get better.
