“Heres: in the name of the son” is the title of the new piece by the choreographer and interpreter Ezio Schiavulli, a creative process that takes place between September 2020 and May 2022. By combining research, creation and teaching, the choreographer is committed to creating links between dance and society. For this new project he follows in the footsteps of Greek myths, a particularly percussive and musical solo born from the scenic collaboration with two drummers from the contemporary and international music scene, Anne Paceo and Dario De Filippo. Exploring the complexes of Oedipus and Telemachus, it is a path of study and research on a universal theme: that of the father-son relationship. It is a question that starts from the personal experience of the choreographer who tries to define the role and identity of the heir: "What legacy do fathers leave to their children? Heirs with an absence of values, perspectives and roots or future architects of new horizons that must be traced on the basis of the experience of the fathers? " An immortal theme but above all appropriate and essential for contemporary society, jagged and confused, where the meaning of the word "Heir" oscillates, now as never before, between its two probable etymologies: "to be private-empty" and "the one who receives ". Creation establishes a strong parallelism between the father-son relationship and the construction of social identity: rooting, uprooting and the question of origins. An analysis of society and of those who reject their origins to move on to other identities is carried out and it is a study of these new generations who build their freedoms by detaching themselves from their legacies. The specter of freedom removes the experience of the "fathers", of their education and therefore of the limits imposed, refuting the very question of descent and the experience of filiation and denying being a son and heir.
