This is a video of a 3-day/2-night trip to Matsumoto city and Shiojiri city by express and local trains. We visit Matsumoto castle and explore the beautiful Narai-juku historic post town. The town flourished as one of inn towns on the Nakasendo Road during the Edo period, and maintains the atmosphere of Old Japan. The Road/Trail was one of the main routes linking Edo (the old name of Tokyo) and Kyoto. The accommodation is "On-yado Nono Matsumoto" near Matsumoto station. https://www.hotespa.net/hotels/nono_m... Opened in April 2022. It's a popular budget Japanese-style hotel in Japan with tatami mats throughout the building and a large public bath.
