Well, firstly, it's my favourite musical that means a lot to me and it was great joy to rewatch it and admire its genius yet again. Secondly, I got tired of the PR-campaign of the freshly released movie that promoted the story as some modern culture specimen. It's true that the book suggests many of these ideas, but the musical did not. That's why I decided to create this analysis as a conservative non-feminist girl who still values the connection between a man and a woman more than female friendship. And when I say "conservatives vs liberals" I don't mean political parties, I'm talking about the general ideology. For example, while conservatives are usually more strict and stern when it comes to families and lifestyles, liberals are more open for experimentation and new approaches to self-fulfillment.
