Final Fantasy V Model Part 31 - More questionable painting detailing

I'm finally starting to feel like I'm in a better place in regard to the platform's painting scheme, however, the tassels here are another story. In real life, they actually don't seem so bad, however, on camera the starkness and rigidity of the form kind of makes for an inflection point: either I can scale it back, soften the edges and, and tone down the contrast, or I go full bore on the 'concept art sketch look and add more of the dark line look tt the other parts of the model as well. No matter which direction I choose, thankfully this painting session is almost done, as for whatever reason, this whole thing has just been one of those areas where absolutely nothing feels like it's been going right and I'm looking forward to stepping away from it and on to something else for a while, which in this case, will be getting back into clay again by sculpting Mid himself.
