These natural bridges, grown from the roots of rubber trees, show the deep harmony between people and nature. From there we climb to the Nohwet View Point, an 85-foot bamboo structure built on a tree, offering breathtaking views of Khasi villages and even the distant plains of Bangladesh. Our journey then continues to Dawki, on the India–Bangladesh border, where we boat across the famous Umngot River — once known for its crystal-clear waters. Along the way we meet Lam, a local boatman with dreams for his daughters, and witness the beautiful yet changing landscape where nature and development meet. The day ends in Shillong with warm hospitality, delicious food blending Northeast and Kerala flavours, and a peaceful night after an unforgettable journey.
