Several days ago it was raining heavily and I heard a leak in the roof. I acted fast and patched up the suspected area while the rain water was rushing towards me. The leak stopped after 30 minutes with just ONE layer of Henry Roof Cement but I intend on removing it and perform a proper patch once the weather settles. The most important thing to do while using this wet patch during the rain is to remove as much debris as you can so it will form a seal in the leak. I was fighting non stop debris rushing towards me but I gathered enough to form a mini mountain of it to divert the water in order to put down one layer of cement. Keep in mind that one layer MAY stop the leak temporarily, but it might not last too long. A proper patch with Base layer + Reinforcement Fabric + Top layer is required on a CLEAN SURFACE in order to create a long term repair. Roofing Cement can be purchased by the gallon for approx $20 or larger pails for $80 Reinforcement Fabric is generally $10 a roll Scrapers and Trowels can be purchased for around $10-$15
