We are going to talk about Patient-specific implants which are made of 3D Printing Technology. In today’s world, medicines have evolved a lot and Science is helping it. Basically, it's an Additive Manufacturing Technology. This surgery is performed on Patients with a deficient jaw because of cancer surgery and loss of Upper Jaw (Maxilla)which is created due to Pandemic and the Mucormycosis which led to the Mucormycosis surgery of Upper Jaw and defect in the mid of the face of the patient. These are the set of Patients who require such a solution. A specific patient implant is used in the missing Maxilla (upper jaw) of the Patient. Initially, we take a CT scan. With the help of CT, Scan we fabricate Virtual Solutions which exactly fit into the Patient missing jaw and thus the entire jaw is created. Once the virtual solution is ready then we sent it for printing and that particular implant is made up of highly designed medical grade bio-acceptable material called Titanium. It is fabricated in the form of printing and then surgery is performed and the implant is inserted into the patient's face.
