** SYNOPSIS ** A short cinematic documentary film dedicated to the splendour and beauty of nature and the complex symbiotic relationship between Humans and Nature as described and told by ancient myths and legends. A clear reminder and wake up call that we can live in harmony with nature just like our ancestors did for thousands of years. Humans believed in celestial deities since the beginning. They were part of our lives, they still are. And they live amongst us, embracing the divine. And they live between the world of humans and the ethereal world of gods. One of them is “Ersi”, the deity of the morning frozen dew. She has been living in mountainous Greece for thousands of years, and her presence there reminds us of the beauty of nature and the prominence of life. Every morning “Ersi” dresses the lake in a misty veil. Every morning the deity of the frozen dew reminds us of the great technological advances that improved and changed life as we know it. We created dams, lakes, and rivers. We contained and transformed nature but at a great cost to the environment, we live on. Human civilization has been evolving for millennia but the importance of balance, humility, and composure is greater than ever before. Will we ever listen to the ancient legends, the myths, and the deities that deliver a sense of symbiosis, and ethos? Will we learn from our ancestors and co-exist in harmony with nature? Will we listen to the calls of the sleeping beauty of the mountain? These are some of the questions, I explore in my film through symbolism and timeless concepts that are as relevant as ever. ERSIS IMDB PAGE https://www.imdb.com/title/tt17220732/ ** ΣΥΝΟΨΙΣ ** Η ταινία είναι αφιερωμένη στο μεγαλείο και την ομορφιά της φύσης όπως μας διηγούνται αρχαίοι μύθοι και θρύλοι, υπενθυμίζοντας μας ότι μπορούμε να ζούμε αρμονικά με τη φύση όπως ακριβώς έκαναν οι πρόγονοί μας για χιλιάδες χρόνια. Οι άνθρωποι πάντοντε πίστευαν στις ουράνιες θεότητες. Ήταν μέρος της ζωής μας, εξακολουθούν να είναι.. ζουν ανάμεσά μας, αγκαλιάζοντας το θεϊκό.. ζουν μεταξύ του ανθρώπινου κόσμου των ανθρώπων και του αιθέριου κόσμου των θεών. Μία από αυτές είναι η «Έρση», η θεότητα της πρωινής παγωμένης δροσιάς. Ζει στην ορεινή Ελλάδα εδώ και χιλιάδες χρόνια, και η παρουσία της εκεί αναδεικνύει την αρμονία της φύσης και την ομορφιά της ζωής. Κάθε πρωί η «Έρση» ντύνει τη λίμνη με ομιχλώδες πέπλο. Κάθε πρωί η θεότητα της παγωμένης δροσιάς μας υπενθυμίζει ότι παρά τις τεχνολογικές εξελίξεις που βελτίωσαν και άλλαξαν τη ζωή μας, μπορούμε να ζούμε αρμονικά με τη φύση. Δημιουργήσαμε φράγματα, λίμνες και ποτάμια. Περιορίσαμε και μεταμορφώσαμε τη φύση αλλά με μεγάλο κόστος για το περιβάλλον. Ο ανθρώπινος πολιτισμός εξελίσσεται εδώ και χιλιετίες αλλά η σημασία της ισορροπίας και η ανάγκη μιας αρμονικής συμβίωσης με την φύση παραμένει αδιαπραγμάτευτη. Οι αρχαίοι θρύλοι, μύθοι, και οι ιστορίες που αναφέρονται στο θείο μας μεταφέρουν με σοφία και σύνεση την αίσθηση της συνύπαρξης, και αλληλοεξάρτησης με την φύση. Θα τις λάβουμε υπ’όψην; Θα ακούσουμε την κειμωμένη των βουνών; Θα διδαχθούμε από τους προγόνους μας; Θα καταφέρουμε να συνυπάρχουμε αρμονικά με τη φύση; Αυτά είναι κάποια από τα ερωτήματα που θέτω στην ταινία μου μέσα από συμβολισμούς και έννοιες που παραμένουν ανεξίτηλες στον χρόνο.
