Oluseyi (Seyi) Akinola, pronounced Shayee is a Family Physician, Clinical Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Calgary with my practice split between the Sunridge Family Medicine Academic Teaching Centre and the Mosaic Refugee Health Centre, Calgary AB. She obtained my medical degree from Nigeria in 2006 with my practice focused on Women’s health for several years before proceeding to the United States where she earned a Master’s in Public Health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina, majoring in Maternal and Child Health in 2013. She completed my Family Medicine Residency Training program from the University of Calgary and was the 2019 recipient of the Dr. Chirag Shah International Resident Award. She currently holds medical practicing licenses across Canada, the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
