I prefer Alden boots without the glaze. Here is a before, and after of my pair of ravello Shell Cordovan boots. I removed the glaze that Alden put on the boots using isopropyl alcohol and a combination of brushing and cleaner conditioner from pure polish products to replenish the shell, and give it that more natural luster.
