Wired Predator Takes on Oakridge, Oregon | Forest Roads and Rear Tire Flat.

Took the Wired Predator out for a ride in Oakridge, Oregon, exploring some great forest and backcountry roads in classic Pacific Northwest conditions. The scenery and terrain made for an excellent ride, but the day ended early due to a flat tire. For clarity, I did have all the proper tools with me for a tube change, including tire levers, pump, and repair supplies. However, the stiffness of the tire and rim combination made removal extremely difficult in the field. Once I got home, I was able to remove the tire using tire paste and the same plastic levers. Plus didn’t know you had to Push in unlock the rear rims to pull it off. Even with the flat, this was a solid ride and a good reminder of how demanding some tire setups can be—especially when you’re far from service. Oakridge continues to be a great area for riding, and I’ll definitely be back.
