Canon C80 12Bit 6K Video Test It's been 4 years, we finally get a replacement of the C70. The brand new C80. Although Canon did not say C80 was the C70 replacement. But at least for me. The last 4 years. I have enjoyed so much with the C70. But there were 2 main things that I was not happy about it. First, it’s the crop factor. Don’t get me wrong, I love shooting with Super 35mm sensor. It's their lenses. Canon did not let any manufacturers to make RF lenses until recently. All I want is a lens with 24-70mm equivalent. And the second thing was the auto focus. For some reason, Canon Cinema line has different auto focusing system compared to their mirrorless like the R5 and R6. The C70 was lagging a lot. I gotta say, the 6K image is absolutely beautiful. It's really sharp and detail. Color is so nice. And Cinema RAW light codec is very easy to work with. And now my 24-70mm is real 24-70mm. I do not have to calculate my crop factor. The only thing I would say is, I wish it was 6K 60p. Even the R5C can do 8K CinemaRAW uptp 60p. And my Canon R3 can also do 6K upto 60p. So C80 surely can do it. But I guess they have to protect the C400. Overall, I enjoyed using the camera so much. The 6K image is very lovely. And the best is the built in ND. I do not have to worry about color shifting or having a cross line.
