Transforming food by-products into compostable packaging – Results from the ECOFUNCO project

Food packaging is part of our lives and we cannot live without it. But how can we make it more sustainable? The ECOFUNCO project has worked on developing bio-based coatings for bioplastic and cellulose materials starting from agriculture by-products, so that we can reduce our plastic waste and contribute to a greener future. In this video, the ECOFUNCO partners show the results they have obtained during the three years of research. In ECOFUNCO, we are inspired by nature for a circular future. --------------------------------------------------------------- ECOFUNCO is a European research project which will develop new bio-based coatings for plastic and cellulosic substrates.
