Man Killed, Woman Wounded in Shooting Outside McDonald's in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Sept. 6 (KNN) – A suspect has been detained following the fatal shooting of a male and the wounding of a female in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in Hollywood overnight. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division units responded to reports of a shooting around 3:30 a.m. Saturday at a McDonald’s located in the 1000 block of North Western Avenue. While en route, officers were advised that two victims had been shot and that the suspect was still at the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male and a female suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene without further incident. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported both victims to a local hospital. KTLA 5 has reported that the male victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
