The church dedicated to Saint Vito is located a few kilometres from Gaggiano (Milan, Italy) and is surrounded by old farmsteads and cultivated fields, a wonderful panorama visible from the old bell tower. In 1600 the new bell tower was built, for which two bells by Desiderio Bonavilla were cast. At the end of the 18th century, two bells were cast for the tower, in addition to or in place of the previous ones. Information is uncertain as one of the new bells is undated. The only certain information on the bells can be found on the middle of the three bells, cast in 1781. The bell complex is very special, as it is one of the oldest in the area. The three bells tuned in F sharp major play a melody and the Angelus concert. The church was rebuilt in 1200. Between the 17th and 19th centuries, the church was restored several times, completely covering the medieval frescoes. The presbytery features a beautiful Baroque vault. The cemetery was built in its current location at the beginning of the 19th century by order of Napoleon. 0:00 Documentary 2:17 Melody with bells 3:14 Ringing of the bells Music track: Documentary Background Epic Music by Infraction [No Copyright Music] / Planet Nine #italy #bells #church #catholic #catholicchurch #bell #culture #concert #summer #art #view #rain #panorama
