Ditte complained of severe LBP that she acquired in relation to giving birth 1 1/2 years ago The condition has been worsening over time. . Medical investigation revealed a prolaps at L3-4 and she is due to conduct additional lab investigations. She was not offered any treatment and a naive doctor even suggested that she might need a wheel chair in 5-7 years ( Idiotic and irresponsible). She is mainly worried about her ability to walk and care for her three children. She is unable to work. She is always exausted do to limited sleep and pain. Besides LBP that limits her movement she complained of decreased sensation throughout the R lower limb and beginning of decrease in sensation on the left as well. She wakes up twice per hour every night and takes heaps of pain killers to manage her normal daily activities. She was hoping for clarification and pain release on her first visit 4 days ago. The first assessment and treatment suggested that it would be wise to refer her to surgical opinion because she was not responding at all to manual therapy as I would have expected when using specific techniques described by Brian Mulligan and other techniques that I developed over time. On her second visit yesterday, she reported some ease and that she slept for 8 hours for the first time. Testing her movement and gait revealed that she was moving much better than on first visit which indicated that further treatment is a good idea. She was no longer shifted. The major obstacle to her movement on day 2 was localized as a a hip and pelvic. She was then mobilized utilizing MWM principles and few modified techniques. The film is almost self explanatory, so I do hope that it can inspire others to learn Brian Mulligan Principles and for the Pelvis it would be wise to join one of Mark Oliver s courses on SI.
