Travel Day to Puerto Escondido! | Flying with AeroMexico Connect | Oaxaca, Mexico Travel Guide VLOG

Travel Day Vlog #103 | Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico We’re BACK, and we’re in Puerto Escondido! We flew to the coast of Mexico from Mexico city with AeroMexico! We arrived at the airport early in the day to make it through security and wait for our flight. Since this is a relatively short flight (about an hour and half), we flew on an AeroMexico Connect plane, which is smaller than their normal fleet. These planes are pretty nice! The seats are thick, leg room is decent, and overall really comfortable, especially for a short flight. After landing in Puerto Escondido, we hopped in a taxi and headed towards our hotel (where we'd recommend to stay in Puerto Escondido) - Hotel Rockaway. This hotel is perfectly situated on Zicatela beach which is lined with tons of cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops! We were here during high season, so the price we paid is a bit higher than most of the year! We chose to stay in the Zicatela beach area so that we were in the middle of all there is to do in Puerto Escondido, especially since we don't have a car! After settling in, we headed to El Cafecito, which was right next door to our hotel. This is easily one of the most popular cafes in Puerto Escondido. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus and there's something on there for everyone, we went back more than once haha. After lunch and some time by the pool, we headed towards Zicatela beach. There was a big storm nearby that was helping the surfers out by creating some awesome waves! We sat down at the beach for a couple hours and watched some seriously awesome surfing! We really haven't seen a big group of surfers before now. After the sun set, we decided to grab some drinks on the beach at Palpita (they have the best pina colada specials). Dinner was at Mar & Wana, where we got some elota and burgers in a very unique eating environment!
