Finally! The time has come to show and tell you about my experience at one of my favorite places I visited in my Japan 2019 trip! Gegege no Kitaro is one of my favorite anime and the series has roots that trace back to 1960. This legendary series was created by the late Shigeru Mizuki who in modern times has been exalted to practically a scholar of yokai and Japanese monsters. It's for that reason that this is all so charming, because he was able to blend something as diversely cool and horrifying with the appeal of manga and anime to make it more accessible to all ages. This little cafe in Chofu is just a relic of the fandom which offers awesome merchendise as well as food and drink all themed after the iconic series, and I was able to visit it!
