The white teens bullied Smith’s son in February 2021 by shooting him with BB guns, calling him racial slurs and forcing him to drink urine during a birthday sleepover, but jury says it was not racist. A fundraiser created for Smith’s son described the incident as racially motivated and that fundraiser raised more than $100,000. The teenager sued and denied claims saying she was spreading false information about him which caused him emotional distress.
