When you arrive at the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus where Inova Children's Hospital is located, please park in the Green Garage. Enter the Inova Children's Hospital doors and go to the registration desk on the ground floor. A Red Jacket Superhero will bring you to a colorful room for the next part of your visit. Your doctor will talk with you to get all the information they need about you before the surgery, including a physical exam, vital signs, chest x-ray, EKG, blood test and nose swab. A Child Life Specialist will be there to help you understand what is going on and answer any questions you may have during your visit. The visit can take up to 3 hours, so we recommend bringing snacks and your favorite toy. You will also get a personalized tour, so you know exactly where you will go during the day of the surgery.
