Is this unacceptable? We have some controversy in the music industry right now! Kelis has come out against Beyonce and Pharrell, blasting them for stealing samples from her song Milkshake. She is primarily angry about the lack of respect for songwriters and artists when it comes to issues like this, especially as she has worked with both Beyonce and Pharrell in the past. What do you think? Is she right? Should Beyonce and Pharrell have reached out to her to at least tell her that they would be sampling her music? Or does it even matter? As creatives and artists should we have mutual respect for one another, or is this just business, where feelings have no place? I know many of you may not care for these people's music, but this is addressing a wider issues that affects musicians of all genres. Tell me in the comments below!
