In a way, her roadshow in Lucknow is also a message to the SP-BSP combine, which gave a cold-shoulder to the Congress. Even as the saffron camp plays down the Priyanka factor, a re-energised Rahul Gandhi says the Congress will play on the front foot in this crucial state. A decent show in U.P. is critical for Congress, which is looking to dislodge the Narendra Modi government in alliance with like-minded parties.
