For folding rigid handcuffs, TCH vs Hiatt what's the actual difference? TCH and Hiatt are essentially the same company, Hiatt was bought and moved to the USA and the original people continued in the UK under the new name TCH [Total control handcuffs]. However there is a build quality difference... Aside from the serial number being ground off on my Hiatt UL1 or sometimes labelled as UL-1-H, due to them being ex-police issue, the Hiatts are more sharp on the edges that come into contact with the wrist. I have seen this on my old pair of Hiatt speedcuffs as well, yet the corners on their Hiatt chain link handcuffs were somewhat cut at an angle to not have a sharp edge. Over all, TCH is the worthy successor. They have a nicer quality to them some how and they are more comfortable due to having more rounded edges. You can sand or file the edges down of the Hiatts brand ones, but this is extra work. Please like and subscribe :) See you next time. #handcuffs
