Chichester Basin Road Level Crossing, Chichester, West Sussex on the West Coastway Line. Location: Basin Road, Chichester Date Filmed: 26-05-2020 - Nearest Station: Chichester - Trains: Class 377 (Southern) Class 313 (Southern) One of two crossings located in Chichester's city centre. The other crossing, Stockbridge Road, is located only 90 metres away. There are four alarms, one on each of the warning lights. Chichester station is found right next to Stockbridge Road crossing. One of the warning lights on the right side appears to have a small tin hat. For some very odd reason, the left-side barriers seem to abruptly halt and hang for a few seconds just as they start lowering, and then continue to lower. I don't know exactly why this happens, but it isn't something new. It also happens at the other crossing (Stockbridge Road), but not for every closure. One thought is that it might be to-do with both crossings being lowered at the same time. Thanks For Watching!
