Depression Life: Psychomotor Retardation

This video shows speech impairment due to psychomotor retardation in major depressive disorder. The affective flattening due to PMR highlights the facial nerve palsy I have on the left side of my face. I also display increased blinking, particularly when I'm fishing for words. There's increased frequency and length of pauses in my speech, along with decreased volume and inflection. I talk about difficulties accessing health care as a result of my mental illness symptoms, and the reactions doctors have to me, my conditions, and the meds that I take for it. Do I look/sound like someone who's overly hopped up on stimulants? Yet people see that I take a stimulant medication and assume that I'm a drug addict. Depression life is hard.
