My Lyght arrived, and two days later I took it to Andy Jackson Airpark for two days of flying. These were also my 1st flights on a Bogdanfly Cocoon V2.1, so there were a lot of variables - new wing in a smaller size (Medium Small 80-95kg vs my previous wings which were Medium Large 90-105kg), and a new untried harness. So, that will make comparisons with my Ozone Photon difficult, because I fly that wing with my Sup'Air Delight 4 (no fairing). The BF V2.1 harness is beautifully engineered and sewn, but it's geometry does not suit my back deformity for long flights. It would be an awesome hike and fly harness for athletic pilots with normal spines who like a lot of feedback from their wing. I found the BF to be less stable than my liking, but many pilots will like the feedback it provides. Choosing harnesses is a difficult process for me, involving lots of trial and error and expense - I sold the BF for a lot less than what I paid for it because I have already bought an Air Design "The Sock" which will arrive this weekend. I'm looking for a harness lighter than my Delight 4, with a fairing and an inflatable protector, because I need to lighten the strain on my old knees for hike and fly. I still plan to fly the Lyght with my Delight 4, even though that will put me near the top of the weight range; eventually I will publish a video with those results. Fingers crossed the Air Design Sock will work out.
