In this vlog, I take you on an historic journey to Longewala Yudh Sthal and the Longewala War Memorial near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan — the site of one of the most legendary battles of the 1971 Indo-Pak War. We start by visiting the Longewala battlefield, where a small group of brave Indian soldiers held their ground against a massive Pakistani tank regiment during the famous Battle of Longewala. Walking through this historic land truly makes you feel the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers who defended the nation. Next, we explore the Longewala War Memorial and Museum, where you can see war galleries, battle maps, soldiers’ stories, destroyed Pakistani tanks, military weapons, and exhibits that explain how the Indian Army and Indian Air Force together turned the tide of the battle. To end the journey, I visit the Last Café, one of the last cafés near the India-Pakistan border — a unique place where travelers stop for tea while experiencing the silence and vastness of the desert frontier.
