The circuit is arguably one of the world's most famous motocross circuits, having staged many grand prix and international events from the 1950s, right through until the present day. In the MX2 class Mathis Valin, on his first race as a Kawasaki KRT rider, won both motos and was the best of his class in the Superfinal finishing on an impressive 2nd place over his teammates Pauls Jonass and Romain Febvre.
