This is a video about the various tourist attractions in Rouen relating to Joan of Arc. Joan of Arc is considered a patron saint of France who defended the French against the English in the 1400s and the Hundred Years War. She played an instrumental role in the siege of Orléans and the coronation of Charles VII of France. The French eventually lost to the English and she was burned at the stake for heresy. The Joan of Arc Memorial Cross is placed on the exact site where archaeological evidence indicates that Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. Right near it is the Church of St. Joan of Arc, which was built in 1979. Both of these are free sights for the public. About 10 minutes walk away from the Memorial Cross is the Joan of Arc Museum. It is located in the Archbishop's palace in Rouen, which was built between the 11th and the 18th century It is where Joan of Arc was condemned to death. It is a 5 storey building and houses a video and sound multimedia story that lasts around 2 hours. I found this very worthwhile in order to understand the Joan of Arc story. Entrance fee for adults is 11E. You can get more information on this museum here: https://www.historial-jeannedarc.fr/
