The Lakota Language Consortium was founded in 2004 to support Lakota Tribal leaders and Elders in creating educational materials, learning opportunities, and collaborative spaces that encourage fluency for current and future generations. Over the past 20 years the collective language revitalization efforts have resulted in the formation of high quality printed and digital materials. You’ll hear the voices of Tipiziwin Tolman and Alex FireThunder, second language learners that as a result of these efforts have dedicated countless hours toward this unified goal.
