On the contrary, He actively accepted death with absolute love and freedom. Jesus himself affirmed: "No one takes my life from me; but I lay it down of my own accord" (John 10:18). His death is the fulfillment of God's plan of salvation, a new covenant sealed with his blood, so that humanity can be reconciled with the Father. Bishop Peter emphasized that this is the highest proof of love: a love that holds nothing back for itself, a love that accepts sacrifice to the end. 3. From suffering to glory: Hope in the cross Perhaps for the Jews and pagans of that time, the death of Jesus was a humiliating failure. A Messiah crucified like a criminal was nothing less than a disgrace. But in God's plan, it was the path to glory. Like a grain of wheat that must die to produce many grains, the death of Jesus opens a new era: the era of Resurrection, of salvation for all people. When we encounter difficulties and challenges in life, let us remember that Jesus himself has gone through the way of the cross before us.
