“Giving it up for Lent” – in our UU tradition, we are not rooted to that sort of pre-Easter ritual... but what can we learn from Lenten practices, which include the rituals of Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and beyond? It isn’t just about giving something up; it’s about making space for something deeper. With a ‘roots and wings’ approach, we will explore the history of these 40 days, the significance of sacrifice and renewal, and the communal journey of spiritual growth.
