A preschool circle time teaching children simple ways to stay safe when returning to an in person school during the COVID outbreak including socially distant greetings, wearing a mask and washing their hands often. Learning game: surprise box full of different socially distant greetings including waving, bowing, peace sign, etc. Draw: self portrait with a mask and then decorating the mask Book: Back to School social story by Miss Nancy. A social story geared towards students who are doing a hybrid schooling experience with some of their classes being online and some being in the classroom. Song: There’s a virus named Corona written by Miss Nancy that encourages wearing a mask, washing hands, and staying apart. There’s a virus named Corona and it wants to stay, But we want to be safe and keep it away There are easy ways to stop it in it’s tracks Wash your hands, stay apart and wear a mask When you’re on the bus, wear a mask When you walk into school, wear a mask When your family picks you up, wear a mask But when your at home, don’t wear a mask When you get to school, wash your hands After circle time wash your hands Before you eat your snack wash your hands When your not sure what to do, wash your hands! How can we play and stay apart?
