This spiritual masterpiece was commissioned in the 11th century by King Jajati Keshari of the Somavamsi dynasty. Temple Dimension stands at Rising nearly 180 feet, its towering spire (vimana) dominates the skyline, while the sprawling complex houses over 50 smaller shrines enclosed within fortified walls. The temple is Dedicated to Harihara—a fusion of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu - Swayambhu - Shiva linga here signifies harmony between Shaivism and Vaishnavism. As per Hindu belief temple is almost 1400 years old , being one of the oldest shiva temple in the world .
